I remember with horror the first day back at swimm practise after Christmas holidays were over. Everyone, but especially the coach would look if one had gained weight, and beware if you did. You can´t hide much in swimmers, and especially not one, two or more kilos. Yikes. The last years we had practises throughout the holidays, so no chance to gain weight then, but before that, yikes. *shudders* I stopped swimming a couple of years ago. But I really hated how obsessed that sport made people with their weight.
I can´t wait until I can start with “the belljar” by Sylvia Plath. Found a little quote in my journal today *yumm*:
Love is a shadow.
How you lie and cry after it
Listen: these are its hooves:
it has gone off, like a horse.
~ Sylvia Plath
Wanted to say more, but forgot what it was.
