I fell asleep yesterday pretty much right after I got home and I didnt get up again until the next day. Hence this entry is a day late, I really couldnt help it!
Yesterday we toured the main Uni library. Or rather: we all sat in a room and an employee showed us how to find science articles online. It took almost two hours, so boring! Or rather: I was too tired to enjoy it fully.
Afterwards the most motivated of us, me included (huh?), got a tour through the building. The library works like this, that you order books over the computer and then it takes about an hour until you can pick them up. Books, magazines, newspapers and so on are stored on three levels under the earth, too cool! Employees get the orders, they put them together and send them up. (I got to send one order up.)
This is how one level of those stored books look like. Of course its much bigger that on the photo.
Bytheway, and this goes back to a ruling of Maria Theresia, of every book that is published in Salzburg, the Uni library has to get one sample! Thats why there are noe only science books to borrow but also cooking books and what do I know.
So much wiser now. HAHA
