I have a lecture that is called “Suicide And Suicide Prevention”.
Today it was a bit too “realistic” (for a lack of a better word) for my own taste. They are working on a movie that is supposed to come out around April. They want to compare a young Schizophrenic who killed himself and a severely depressed man “who failed”. They are going to interview the left behind, family, friends, doctors and of course the man who is still alive.
Anyway, we watched a bit of it today. The man who lived (in comparison to the boy who lived, haha!) told about the days leading up to the day that he “did it” and he described in great detail what he all did. Multiple things that were just “insane” to listen too. That piece took about 20 minutes. It was very INTENSE!
Afterward he asked us if it was too extreme… YES! But the person who replied said “no problem”. Huh? I really cannot see a “regular” person going to the cinema, watch this and be ok. and this is coming from me, if you know anything about me… you finish that sentence I hope I wont dream about it today, but I probably will.
The man is doing quite well again. Our professor said the key point of that documentation is, that you can hit the lowest spot possible and come out ok!
On a much better note, I just took Brownies out of the oven. Click for photo. Yes, currently, the oven is working again. Dont hold your breath!
