Definitly in works is a gallery, fixing the CSS of this page, and redoing some of the content pages. If anything looks messed up, chance is high, that I plan to overwork it. Hopefully soon.

In case you never check, The Weblog finally received a new look. I went for darker colours for once, I really couldnt stand to look at green purple one second longer. As always, please report any errors.

This Portal is under heavy reconstruction yet again while I write a few exams at Uni… I never know what to put in the sidebar, or in the footer really, suggestions?

Am I Finally Doing It?

The most unbelievable thing is happening, and already I had thought that I wouldnt do this anymore. I actually spent all day today, fixing this little, poor, unused, and full with errors Turtle Portal. I upgraded Wordpress, fixed the comments, I am in the midst of overworking the CSS (I might even go for Validation), I finally added a real footer (the one that everyone is having), I changed Smilies (a new set, get them at Schildies), and so on. A bunch of things. Oh right, I accidently deleated the last entry, too, but as Christmas is over anyway, who cares. This will take a while. The whole thing really needs to be redone, everything is so messy and faulty.

Unfortunatly, I didnt get a chance to pixel any New Year stuff for Schildies, sorry. But maybe I can squeeze in a little pixelling tomorrow, if I do, you will read about it.

Connie Knits has definitly expired, and wont be back for now. I am trying to set up a little knitting site here in the meantime, which is not done either. What is this with never finishing anything recently?!

The Resources are giving me headaches. They have grown way too popular (even with not updating them in a year), they eat up way too much bandwith, more than I have. I have been thinking about integrating them with the Portal in some form, but I am not sure if this will do. I might try though.

The Book Pages are always updated, as I am always reading!

Google updated its Page Rank today, and the Weblog is finally back up to a lovely 6, wehee!

As it is Halloween month, I will try to come up with anything halloweeny for Schildies. Probably smilies of some sort. Make sure you check back for them.

Working On It

I managed to validate the Weblog XHTML 1.0 and CSS. With having done this, I have applied for Perfection.

What I want to do this weekend, ~~is to get a proper Credit page up~~ its up, and to add more content. Not motivated to finish the layout, so please excuse the lack of a proper navigation and sidebar!

This week I added an Appendix to my Autobiography, I redid my reading list for 2006, I started to import some Poems and Things, and I started to add Book Quotes from the books I read.

Once this is all finished, the Resources will get a makeover. Long needed.

This is too cool, and really, I am only testing Pingbacks.

Domain Redesign

Three months after I have promised it… FINALLY a redesign for turtelina.net. I never liked the old look, and the lack of updates were proof of it. Blog readers have seen this theme already, and now the portal version of it is live as well! Purple Turtle, hopefully colour and cheerful enough, to bring even the most depressive person a smile on his or hers face!

And now that this is done, I can work on the content!

A book along the lines of The Da Vinci Code.

It is about a young man, who found instructions for a camcorder that isnt yet released, in a 2000 year old grave in Israel. It is believed, that the grave holds the bones of a time traveller, who went back in time to tape the life and work of Jesus. Naturally a hunt for the camera begins, which is going on for the most part of the book.

The thing that I liked best, are the multiple endings. Finally an author who wraps up all loose ends, and just when you think all is lost, the plot takes a u-turn. And then another one, and another one.
It makes you think and ponder multiple things. An awesome book, which I can really recommend. Not yet available in english, but hopefully one of these days.
