Hmmm… do you think WIN XP is better than Windows 98 second edition? Lele I heard that finding drivers for it is really hard. Is it? Do you think it´s worth its money?

Uneventful day today, I wanted to go shopping (more flowers and stuff) but this stupid dermitis crap is destroying my face *lol*, didn´t want to go shopping like that.
Again, my highlight of the day, must have been my jam session at 2.00 am *aehm* and trading a bee patch with Phona. She also took a cool Sims test, but unfortunatly, the test is no longer available. *grrr* Did you all hear that there is a new Sims add on available? I think Sims on vacation.. Does anyone have it?

hehe thanks for trading. i’m a bit hestitant about XP too now.. coz i don’t know if it will be better than win2k or not.. i mean i don’t have A SINGLE PROBLEM with my win2k now… i don’t want to ruin it. but i’m still getting the cd *hehe*

yup, xp is WORTH all the money!!!!Actually I got it from my dad’s friend who is a computer science ‘person’- forget the word-so I got it for free. Anyhoo, my daddy also uses it and he says it’s perfect. You can believe him as he works with his comp non-stop. He’s a surveyor engineer, you know he does maps and stuff. I think if you’re happy with what you’re using then stick with it until later. XP is pretty to look at & is fairly good but when i first installed it i had so many problems= reformat at least 3 times…but maybe that was becuase i had the beta version!
Anyway, i’m using the real XP now & have to admit that it is good but only fault is it’s not compatible with certain programs- still waiting for a decent driver for webcam *grr*

I have win2k its running pretty well, I can run my sims and it’s add on….sims on vacation…I play that for a little while…it was interesting. I’m waiting for the online version so everyone can play online…but I hope they don’t charge a monthly fee..x_X

win2k is very good too. But win98 is horrible, first and SE! under win98, my computer can only stay on for at most 2-3 days before everything just slowly crashed because of all the memory being sucked.
Out of all the windows, win2k and winXp are the best. But I guess, XP is more for homeuser, and 2k is for servers/business.. or so? Not so sure about that..
I think you should definately upgrade, but always back up your files 🙂 I did a fresh install (meaning, I formatted my computer).. winXP also uses a different file structure than that of win98 which makes it run better, I believe.
Been 2 months since I’ve had XP, and it has yet to crash. Of course, every once so often, a program might shut down… it is not perfect, but in comparison to win98, it is MUCH BETTER.
Also, when using XP, learn how to customize stuff.. like removing the “send error” popup (everytime something doesn’t work).. that can get annoying

I just got WinXP from a friend last week, and right now, I have 30 days to test it ’cause I would need an activation code that hasn’t been used yet to break the trial. I’ve only had it for 3-4 days, but so far, it’s been pretty good! My OS before was Win98SE. OMG I *hate* Win98 & SE! It crashes my comp like at least every 2-3 days! But I’m gonna have to uninstall XP and go back to the ol’ Win98SE in about 27 days, eh = / If only I have $100 right now …
