Since adding Michaels Anti Spam hacks, I have received hardly comment spam anymore. I used to get hundreds and hundreds, these bots were sometimes spamming my entries for over 48 hours, with 2 – 5 spams in the minute. 😯

Especially for B2 users, Comments Blacklist, works excellent!
This is useful too, show all comments, so you are not missing one single spam message anymore!
Yes, you should definitly bother to install those, but dont forget to make a backup first! 😎

I’m glad you’ve found a way to ward off evil spambots too 🙂 I’m using WordPress (you know, what used to be B2) and I found that a certain Spanish blogger’s plugin called Trencaspammers works really well. You’ve probably seen it at work on my site 🙂 I really hate spam too!!

I have been using something similar over at Phlick since a few months now, and havent had a problem with spam since then. Very good hack choice ZhiWen! 😛

Hmm, I saw a site before that had about seventy spam comments. I wonder how people can program bots to do that. What I need is an e-mail anti-spam program.

haha I don’t ever get any spam because my site is too unknown for any lol. Thanks for sharing, though – I’ll be telling any friends that has problems with spam. I really like this layout, btw:D It’s so cute and the links are way too cool!!!!!

Awesome that it works, I just applied the hack myself today. I hope it works out. Another good way to get rid of the spam comments quickly is use MYPHPADMIN and browse through the comments table by name!
