403, Access Denied

After almost 48 hours, my domain is back online. Thanks Lauren for the technical and my german board for the moral support.

What happened? The permission on my public_html folder went down to 0, how, I do not know. I wasnt able to fix it myself, so I had to wait for someone to fix it for me. How much I hate being dependent, I cannot tell anyone. Little that I hate more.

Insiderhosting, where this domain is still hosted, has a brilliant uptime. The best I have encountered so far, and ONLY THIS is the reason why I havent changed to Shi or Lauren. But the customer support is beyond awful. We all remember the drama about telnet access a while ago, where Shi had to intervene after over a week so I was able to download a dump.

A thing that doesnt even take 15 seconds, took them almost 48 hours. Bad, worse, worst. 😡

Btw, if you are not RSSed to Leles site, you might want to check it. We love you Lele! âž¡

    I miss reading your blog! I freaked out when I couldn’t access it. I am glad your back now. Did you changed host?
    I also love the uptime of InsiderHosting. Thankfully, I only needed to use their support once. If things get bad I’ll sign up again with Shi for my personal sites. I signed up before for one of my non-personal sites but had to discontinue cause I needed to upgrade to a vps.

    Hey Grace, Schildies and Connism are hosted at Shis, and it is as brilliant as it always was. 😀 But turtelina.net is so huge already, over 700 MB used, that I dont want to move it unless it is absolutely necessary. And as long as you dont need support, IH is really good. But you are doomed when you do need support.

    heh I couldn’t stand IH so got out… well very fast. Great thing about my current host is the support is based in .au so hurrah, they’re in my times
