This is headline news here since the “law” was “passed” by the EU. This is not meant racist in any way. But get this.

The EU (European Union) made Austria open its Unis for people from other countries.

Here, everyone can study that graduated Highschool. In other countries they have limits. So in the past, people from other countries were only able to study here, if they fullfilled the requirements to study in their own country. Get it?

Now, the EU forces Austria, to take people from other countries, like they take Austrians.

With the result, that our Unis, and student homes are STORMED and already PACKED (and this is an understatement) with Germans, like everyones worst nightmare. Especially our Med Unis are to 75% full with Germans (Vienna can take 1500 new med students every year, those places were full after 2 days). But really, every single subject is full with them. Us Austrians cant study, because there are no places left anymore. They had to make stops to enrollments already. Over night they invented tests for certain subjects (psychology ect), because there are too many people wanting to study it.

It is a nightmare. It is worse than a nightmare. I hope they can fight this somehow for next year. I dont mind german students, but not if it means that we cant study in our own country because of it.

Damn this EU shit. ❗
