We went to see The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe today.
I am a huge fan of The Chronicles, one of my alltime favourite book, and I really recommend them to everyone I know. Here are quotes that I wrote down while reading the book.
The movie was good, definitly worth watching. Awesome effects. But in contrast to the Harry Potter movies, not exactly like the book (positive?). I have no idea where they got that huge war scene from, actually I know. Lord Of The Rings, that scene, as well as it was made, was pretty much copied and pasted. But all the animals and creatures, really well done. I loved the little girl, where they found her, one in a billion.
The book is as usual really, better, and I guess it wouldnt hurt to have read the first book (The Magicians Nephew) before watching the movie, but not necessarily.
Huge bonus: it is LONG! 😀 Go and watch it. 💡

My best friend called me tonight to rave about the movie…& now with your recommendation too I may just have to put this on my list! The effects looked awesome in the movie trailer…best to see that on the BIG screen rather than later on DVD.

It is out here, but I haven’t seen it yet. I think it’ll be good though. I like Aslan (?) – I can just remember the first film that was made. 🙂 Hope you’re well, we’re getting a Xmas tree today.

One of my friends that I saw the movie said that watching this movie was like watching Lord of the Rings 4.
I still haven’t decided what order to read the books in. Now I’m torn between the two orders. *shrug*

Ich habe die Bücher bestellt und werde den Film später bei Teleclub (Premiere) ansehen.
Von jemandem habe ich gehört, dass er grässlich ist, ich bin froh, dass du etwas anderes sagst.

Ich finde die Buecher so dermassen geil, ich hoffe sie gefallen Dir auch. Sie sind leider religioes angehaucht, insbesondere der letzte Teil, aber es sind unglaublich viele schoene “Allegorien” drinnen, und ich finds einfach gelungen. Nicht zu vergessen ds es einen weiteren Zufluchtsort bietet, solange das Buch halt dauert. 😀
Du haettest mit uns ins Kino gehen sollen, wir waren so ca zu 15t, das meiste war leer! Das war angenehm. 😀
Das schlimmste an Weihnachten ist, man kann nicht aus. Aber, auch das geht vorbei.
Ich lese Dein Blog sehr gern uebrigens, Du schreibst sehr sehr gut, hast Du aber sicher schon oft gehoert!
