The Theme Dilemma
POSTED in: Domain

Patronus ScreenHere is my dilemma. A few months ago, I started to work on a new layout, to be published on July 21st, the biggest Harry Potter day in history! You guess the theme, I said it before Harry Potter!

I worked on it forever, but ended up hating it. It is huge in size (in bytes, and screen resolution), it is by far not as good as the current one, and I just looked at it for too long to finish it. So I “trashed” it, and since then, it remained in a fairly unfinished state. I would have long forgotten it, if I hadnt started to upload it back then, and since then, I always used it again to surf this site, despite its “unfinishedness”. What I like about it: its happy! 🙂 my brother hates the starry background, I love it!

ThePotterOneTheme ScreenAfter I “trashed” the layout pictured above, I took the turtle, redid it, and started the Harry Potter theme from scratch again. It has many similarites, it is much smaller in size though. BUT: it looks way too similar to the current Alien Madness one. I didnt work on it for too long, hence its even more unfinished state. However as above, I use it on and off to browse this site.

Now I have become fond of both again, and I feel both deserve a chance to get at least finished. But as they are as similar as they are, its silly to finish both. Which one should I work on again? I have no idea. Ahh choices, I hate them. 😯

I am not a starry person either 😉 But I like the lightness of the first one!

The 1st one really grabbed me at 1st sight too!

Also, I don’t know if TABULAS is working correctly (ignore this if it is!) so here’s the response I made to your comment:
Thanks Connie. I’ll post a report Wednesday night.

My camera is already charged up & ready to go on Wednesday. We’ll be seeing the day session…so if they stay on schedule it’ll be the quarter finals. I’m hoping to see Federer play…or Andy Roddick. Nadal won’t be playing on Wednesday but if I’m lucky I’ll see him on the practice courts!

The weather here has been fantastic…so my fingers are crossed that it’ll stay that way!
