Vacation: week 1

Week 1 of my vacation went way too fast! and I spent way too much of it in the hospital, grrr! I hope I still made the best of it. Still need to settle down and get rid of that stress, but thats why I took 4 weeks of vacation… *breathes* Plenty of time left. 🙂

The week started exactly as I had planned it. With a yummy breakfast treat: Strawberry Heavy Creme Scones, so good!

I started watching season 3 of Game Of Thrones (now done: quite good, but not exactly like it is in the books), we went inline skating, and I took Emma up the Richterhöhe! Always beautiful. 😎

Tuesday and Wednesday, we FINALLY started the Untersberg season! So beautiful and calming and stress relieving! First time up went brilliantly, second time was a fight from start to finish, still worth it though once you reach the top! You can look at all photos here, here and here. Some of my favourites, there are too many!

Wednesday, I also baked chocolate scones again, so fast to make and yummy! 😛 Also called the hospital because D-day for the IUD was here.

Thursday, I spent all morning in the obgyn outpatient clinic. So much fun! 😯 Got called in by a different doctor, because mine was in surgery. He was twice as tall as me, and him looking down on me… looking absolutely determined…there was only one thing that could happen: courage left me. I told hom I would be back the next day and left. He was very understanding and just said no problem. Oh well. To digest that, brother and I went to a Chinese restaurant to celebrate his birthday, a month late, but better than never. I love Chinese Food, yumyum!

Then we went shopping pretty much all afternoon. Didnt buy anything too big or too exciting, but I got myself a new pen for my Ipad. God knows where my old one is. Not that I draw any better with pen than without…:

I also got new Bento supplies! The most exiting thing being the Muffin Mover, too good to be true!

Had to calm myself down a little, and made a bad weather walk with Emma, or rather a bad weather run. Who is faster, we or thunder?! 😉

Friday, I got up bright and early, took a lot of Passedan Tropfen for my nerves, and went into the obgyn clinic once again, where I spent another oh so exciting morning. And it got even more exciting when it was my turn. 😮 My doctor rushed down from surgery to finally put the IUD in, so we thought at least. I had no idea what a group effort it would become. But what is easy when it includes me?! We had a nurse holding me down, a doctor doing ultrasound while my doctor tried to put – at this point absolutely hated – Iud in. And he tried and tried and tried some more… it felt like someone sticking a knife in and out over and over again. Nope, he didnt get it in. ❗ It will be put in under anesthesia Monday morning. And yet another day of my absolutely hard deserved vacation spent in the hospital, where I will be all day. What a disappointment though! We also had a wasp nest removed by the fire department. But I missed this, because I was in the hospital.

Got home and went Inline skating to get rid of all that stress. This week was definitely full with excersize!

Saturday, was a sloooow day. For breakfast I made absolutely delicious Brioches filled with strawberry marmelade. They were so good, a heavenly sin!

Also made cinnamon buns, another sin!!! But oh so good. I didnt do anything else. Lazy day on the sofa.

Today, we got up early again, to climb our favourite mountain. I love preparing our lunch packages, but forgot to take a photo before packing it, dang:

Now we are off to do a bit of inline skating. Because the coming week will be a bit low key. Due to this semi-surgery, and Tuesday another morning in the skin outpatient clinic… I will definitely talk to my general practitioner if he can write me a sick leave, because this is definitely not right that I have to spend so much vacation time in the hospital. You have to be sick four days in a row, for a vacation to be interrupted officially. We will see.

This week was also filled with way too much family drama and our neighbours are a pain in the xxx. Problems never leave, ever.

Have a very good week my dearies! ➡ Lots of love:

Yeah, Season 3 of GoT seemed to deviate the most from the books…so far.

As always your food pictures are insane! Scenery looks amazing. How cool is it to have mountains to look at?!!! Have a great week Connie….I’m sweating my %^* off here in our never-ending heat wave! (I must imagine myself up on that mountain with those flags waving in the cool breeze!)
