Superficial = Disgusting
POSTED in: Daily Life

I am working on Friday. I had a nervous breakdown when I saw that someone from the distribution center had called while I was in a class, because I thought for sure that either someone broke a leg and she needs me to start working NOW, or that they are not allowed to hire students this summer, which would have been a tragedy, because summer jobs are practically none existant. Always expect the worst, then things can only get better.

Get this: It is easier to keep the love alive then to deal with the hate towards each other in long relationships.

When people from here go to America, they are usually shocked that there are so many handicapped people. But reality is: we have just as much, but here they dont dare to go on the street. 😯

What is the thing that is judged the most around the world? Overweight people. When one overweight person applies for 100 jobs, and she/he gets invited for 99 interviews (like computer technician, nothing to do with appearance), they dont get any of the positions due to their weight status. Judging people you dont know is disgusting, there is nothing that I condamn more.

Really, I sometimes think I have seen it all, but people are so superficial it is disgusting.

The movement goes on…

    Hey Connie, yes, it is sad that people get judged by their looks instead of their abilities. I am aware that I could be discriminated against due to my race, but fortunately have not suffered that.
    I guess here handicapped people are usually living in their own communities (set up by government) or “put away”..? unfortunately I do not know any handicapped people.
    So it means you do have a summer job again after all? Hurray 😀

    Please don’t work too hard for the post office! You can always say no, I know how hard it is though. It is awful how people are prejudiced towards people who are different. It really is sick.

    discrimination is something we can’t run away from. it’s everywhere. there were a few issues here in australia where a woman was not hired because she’s not pretty. another case was a lady was fired because she’s overweight!! Those people are just so disgusting, judging people through appearances.

    I know what you mean :-(. In here most ads include “with pleasing personality” as their requirement even just for clerical jobs O_o.
