Computer, Chapter II
POSTED in: Turtelina

It is FINALLY pouring down rain now, I am really thinking our roof will take off and fly away any second! Cool, not even when we had the floods a while back did it come down like this. Who wants to take a swim in our garden? ME ME ME! 😀

I said goodbye to our old computer today. The power supply (after only 3 months, we just got it fixed) is wrecked again, the hard disk is dead. He wanted 180 Euros alone for putting Windows on a new harddisk for us (harddisk not included of course). What a joke. All in all it would have cost more than 400 Euros. Byebye computer, rest in peace.

The computer guy said, he has never seen so much dust in a computer. Apparently dust can go static after a while, and maybe there was some sort of explosion in there. So what do we learn from this? Take the cover from your computer off REGULARLY, and wipe dust. This is not a joke.

The grieving process took 2 hours. Then we went out to buy a new one. I am not exstatic. I hadnt planned on spending that much money on yet another computer, but its a good one. It has 1024 MB Ram, 250 GB Disk Space, 3.2 GHz Pentium 4, and everything we will never need, how cool. The computer was 799 Euros. That is about 3 weeks of delivering mail (without benefits). Ah well.

I saw a Marilyn Monroe documentation on tv at about 2.00 am today. Who can sleep when its that hot! Sad sad sad. But cool must have been that she got to see the daughter of Sigmund Freud! 😉

It rained here too today. But then it went sunny. I’d rather have it warm than rainy, I think. Eep dust causing an explosion :-z. We don’t have a computer cover. The computer sounds good though, may it live longer than the last one 🙂

Sorry to hear your computer died, Connie. What a pain. :[ I had no idea dust could cause explosions – strange stuff. Enjoy your rainy weather!

Hi Connie, poor old computer but these things do die now and again.
I just wanted to be sure to stop in today and say Hi, I haven’t been on-line much lately. 🙁 So busy.
    Wishing you a good week.
    Take care and *hugs* 4U
