What Do Killers Look Like?
POSTED in: Daily Life

When you deliver mail, you see it all. Earls, doctors, lawyers. Secretaries, teachers, nurses. Unemployed, welfare receivers, and you name it: criminals.

We always make jokes when we deliver these blue recycle paper letters. Love letters from jail!

So what do criminals look like?

Location: the area where I delivered on and off over the last 6 weeks. A guy, very friendly, always tipping… A bit suspicious. Very often receiving returned video tapes, which were not accepted by the recipient. Long beard, “weird clothes”, plastic suitcase, hat…

But he is nice! I am an idiot.

The guy just got out of jail last spring. Child pornography. I swear a blind with walking stick could tell a criminal sooner that I ever would.

How did you find out he had been in jail!!? Sounds quite scary to me, posting letters to convicted criminals!

Heh. Ah, Connie.I’m naive in that respect, too. I always assume the best of people and am usually wrong with my first impressions. I agree with Nicki though, delivering mail to ex-criminals sounds creepy. :[

nice usually means bad… criminals will be nice to your face, and then stab you in the back. so be careful!
