On The Homefront
POSTED in: Daily Life, Knitting

The oldest giant land tortoise, Harriet, died yesterday at the age of 176 years! She travelled over to Australia in the 19th century with Charles Darwin, amazing. Every Crocodile Hunter fan knows the story of course. I never got to see her, a shame.

After we thought that we had the bunny potty trained, we were proofen wrong! While we slept, she did it all over! Especially in my room and on my brothers bed! And thats why poor little bunny will start caged life again soon, bummer, she had already accustumed so much to living free!

We brought my Dad to the hospital again at around 2.00 am today. Nothing shocking, as we knew he had to go back in. Just a bit earlier as planned. He has water in his lungs again, and we cant get his sugar under control. He didnt mind either, so he really must have felt bad.

I have started to knit another Sesame a while ago. In lovely grey and blue, with tickle free wool! My other Sesame turned out quite well, but the colours were hideous, as was the wool itself. No more cheap wool!

Work is going a bit better, as I am getting accustomed to it again. Most important, the mail is gettling less and less as we approach “summer”! GOOD!

I hope I can knit and read a lot this weekend, and watch football without falling asleep all the time! Its my brothers birthday tomorrow, too. Weekend, pass as slowly as possible please!

I read about the tortoise in the paper today 🙁 176 years is very old though, but an amazing length of time.

Oh no, does your bunny have a run in the garden?

Hope your Dad is feeling better, is he still in hospital or did you bring him back home?

Hope your weekend goes slowly for you 😀

R.I.P. Harriet…I just read her story before coming to your site. I didn’t know bunnies could be *potty trained* …oh, poor, cute, brazenly messy little bunny!!!!

Best wishes for your Dad…I hope the hospital treats him well & he improves quickly. Happy BD to your brother too. Enjoy the football!
