A Drink And Some Drugs
POSTED in: Daily Life, Knitting

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers! I feel its almost hypocrytical to ask for prayers, but if I revert to the power of prayer, it shows how desperate I really am at this point. I cannot let my Dad go yet, and if he does nothing but vegetate on the couch, at least he is here.

The last day has been hell. I cannot take more, I am far beyond of what I can take. I have spent the day in a trance like state, praying and hypnotizing the phone not to ring, please dont ring. My feeling is bad, my hope is bad, and all I can see is black. BUT: my brother is visiting my Dad (who is on the cancer ward, because the other wards are full) as we speak, and I just got off the phone with them. My Dad has no fever anymore, and apparently he is doing so much better, just like the doctor told us yesterday night. THANK YOU GOD! I even spoke to my Dad, who is silly, for which he never has the energy, he has a full voice, and he sounded amazing. The worries remain, nights are the worst, I know how fast things can turn.

The Monkeysocks are all finished, and they fit perfectly! The second sock is again a tiny bit bigger than the first, but I am getting there. More practice. I love them. The pattern was awesome, everyone should knit a pair! Next on my list are Knittys Pomatomus Socks, in Opal Rainforest Frog. And I am going to be so sick of Opal soon.

Am so glad he’s doing better *hugs*. Can you do anything to relieve yourself of the yuckiness you’re feeling? 🙂

Oh Nicki, yes! I am so sorry I didnt thank you yet, you are so sweet! I love the wool, I think it could be just enough to knit a turtle with it! So thoughtful of you, and the card is so sweet, too! Thank you Nicki!!! I still havent sent out my mail. What do you do with a Christmascard in February. 🙁

It’s alright, I just wanted to know it had got there. Sorry the wool isn’t very long – I went to the craft shop and they didn’t do big balls of wool! Hope the wool comes in useful anyway. Christmas cards in February are good! My birthday’s in June, and one year, someone thought my birthday was in November and they’d got me a present and everything!

Hope tomorrow is better for you 🙂
