The title of this entry is “can you say stupid”, and soon you´ll know why. Since I just can´t sleep (look at this entry for a description of a typical night) I decided to take a handful of sleeping pills yesterday, (note: pills from my Mom, since mine wont do a thing) just to be able to get a view hours of sleep, since I wanted to get up early today to study all day. I was even allowed *wow* to stay home to get lots of learning done. Pretty good plan, don´t you think?
The night was as usual. Hardly any sleep, lots of scratching etc… The pills must have kicked in around 4.00 am. I wanted to get up at 5.00. No such thing.
At around 9.00 am I managed to crawl out of bed. Managed 30 minutes of revision when I couldn´t keep my eyes open anymore and crawled back into bed.
11.00 am I get up, revised the 2 pages I managed before, learned 2 more, and crawled back to bed again.
12.30 pm my Mom comes home from work, thank goodness for the dog barking, so I could get up and play the good daughter that I am *cough*, more revision, manged 4 pages, crawled back to bed.
5.00 pm 8 pages into my notes I get my first nervous breakdown *LOL* managed 3 more pages. And that´s where I am at now.
8.00 pm my brain is giving smoke signals because it´s already full with (useless???) stuff, I am not even halfway through what we are supposed to study. This is a nightmare.
I can´t believe myself, this must have been one of the dumbest ideas I had all year.

wow connie … i feel for you . i’m glad you decided to try to get some sleep unlike me who would pull an all nighter along w / the whole day . =) hummm … sleeping pills …. not a good idea ?! if you couldn’t sleep … you should do something else instead of forcing yourself to go to sleep . the result could have differ or maybe not . =/ anywho … a ‘handful’ of sleeping pills are no help when you have to get up early the next day . =) hehe … silly connie . =)

Poor Connie….I remember such learning sessions…and – I don’t know why, but they are somehow always pretty much the same…one day, it’s the sleeping pills, but it might be other things, too…it just doesn’t work,to work 20 hours a day…
ah..by the way…why don’t you just try your books instead of sleeping pills. Try to study at night in bed som boring stuff and hopefully you will fall asleep during the first page….it often worked with me, when I had to study…
Anyway, I cross my fingers, too, for you. For a good night’s sleep, a fresh morning, a good memory, fresh energy to spend on the books, no disturbing e-mails and a ver good exam!
I believe that you will do great!
