When I went to bed yesterday, the skin around my eyes was a bit swollen. Nothing too scary really. I thought it was because of the dermatitis. I went to bed thinking, tomorrow it will be normal again.
I got up today, and fell over dead when I looked in the mirror. Really. I bursted out in tears. Not only did the swelling not go away, it got A LOT worse. My face looks like a balloon. I am not exaggarating, you can not tell that this is me. I have huge eyes, you can hardly see them now. My face is so swollen up. Its beyond anyones nightmare. My cheeks, everything. So blown up. I can hardly move my eyes. So so bad.
I still went to work knowing fully well how badly they needed me (am I stupid???), but had to wear sunglasses all the time, to at least hide my eyes and the area around. It was really horrid.
After 10 hours of work, I am home, and still swollen up, to that extend, that I am expecting to explode any second. My Mom wants to send me to the hospital because regular doctors are already off now. I hope it goes away from alone. I am probably loading fluid in my face. And that badly, but thats just a guess. I am going to take a piccie of my face, and maybe put it up here. I mean you cannot tell that this is me at all anyway.
Please face get normal again soon.

oh mein gott, connie.
das klingt ja gar nicht gut. ich hatte sowas auch mal allerdings nur die augen und bei mir kams von der sonne, hab sehr empfindliche augen. ich hoffe, das geht bald wieder weg – und vielleicht gehst du wirklich bald mal zum arzt.

Ten hours of work??? Arrrg! I remember working once when I had a cold and I’d lost my voice, and I thought that was bad enough. Oh you poor thing. :(((((
Once my face swelled up… but it started at my ears. I still don’t know why it happened… it was horrible though. But even then I don’t think it swelled up as badly as what you’re experiencing. 🙁
You should go get some medical help, it can’t make things anyworse, and they should be able to get it to go away faster than it would on its own.

Yes, Connie, you need to get some medical help because it sounds awful. Perhaps you are allergic to something else??? Get better soon

:eek::eek::eek::sad:i havethe same problem peaple thinks i am gaining wait but i am still as slim as a pole.i’ve started using a cutter i use to shave my face and it sratches me after i wonder if it could be it although i’m not the only one using it…hope we i have to say get better.i’m kelly send me a mail:kelly_asal@yahoo.com:arrow:
