I left for work early today, to finally catch a glimpse of Mars. After reading on several sites how “easy” and “obvious” it is to spot Mars in the nightsky, I have to say, it is not really obvious, and not easy to spot at all. It was the biggest thing on the sky that I could spot, and a lot closer to earth than the stars. It was not orange, but a little darker than the stars. I made some piccies!
You cannot see Mars itself, which was the star looking thingie that I saw, but you can see that orange “dust” which I didn´t see. Piccies below.
So what did you see? How did it look like? Because I am everything but sure that I really saw Mars.

interessante fotos. wollte ja auch nochmal mars schauen gehn und fotos machen, aber bisher ist noch nichts draus geworden. hast du ohne feldstecher gesucht? dann ists nämlich nicht so einfach die zu unterscheiden. ich schlaf jetzt schon mit dem feldstecher neben dem bett 😉
