The Week Of The Elderly

Another week came and went. There is so much happening, no time to rest or play with Emma as she would deserve, this little ueber-hyper-manic-piranha-dog.

On Monday we got Feedback from the risk management of the hospital again. A huge mess. So on Tuesday, the risk management, the patient advocacy and me emailed back and forth all afternoon until we came to a conclusion that we could all life with. We closed the case. Until… later

Wednesday my birthday came and went. With work, Uni and Emma there was no time to think. Which was good. 😀

On Thursday the The Salzburger Christkindlmarkt opened. Went there before it officially opened to buy our Adventkranz. Love it. It smells really nice.

Friday was crazy. I took the day off to write an exam at Uni, which I didnt end up writing. So I went to the dermatology outpatient clinic instead, accompanied by Eva, because my skin is getting worse and worse. Things of course did not go as was promised to us. So later I emailed the patient advocacy again and sent an email forward to the chef of the clinic, to remind him of what was promised by them. The doctor who seems to be treating me now did really try though. We took loads of blood to check my B-Cells. Looking if my Immune system is rebuilding itself, or if Rituximab is still doing what it is supposed to be doing, but this would also mean my skin is no longer reacting to this drug. They will discuss this. As my application for a course of treatment at the Dead Sea was denied months ago, the doctor said I should apply again, but for this clinic instead, which is a special dermatology clinic in Germany. It is good that I am treated again. I just dont think that my skin will get better in this hospital because of all the things that have happened.

Afterwards my brother and I went to a Chinese Restaurant to celebrate my birthday and his, just a tad bid late. So yummy! Then we drove to Eugendorf, there are lots of Ikea alike stores to buy some Christmas decoration. I love Christmas decoration. 😀 I also bought some presents, weheee! I love being early.

And of course put them up right away.

And after that I went to Latin for 3 hours. Left early because Eva, Walter and I went to the theatre to the final rehearsal of a new play. This play is a complete new idea. Months ago, they looked for people to send in stories of bank experiences to write a play with. As Eva and Walter both sent in stories, they each got 2 tickets for this rehearsal, I got to sit in the very first row. 🙂 The play is called Wir gründen eine Bank. I thought it was ingenious. The audience is split in half. One half is part of a shareholders meeting. The other half is behind the stage, watching a short version on Emil Zolas: Geld. After both “plays” are over, the audiences switch. So the other people were part of the shareholders meeting, which was ingeniously done all in itself, and we were watching Emil Zola. When the play reached its end, the curtain was opened, and the two plays were combined. This was a fantastic effect. As we were sitting behind stage, on the level of the stage itself and a bit higher, we suddenly looked down to the other audience who was staring up at us. Goosebumps! Absolutely brilliant.

After the play, we went across the street to the restaurant and coffee house of the famous Hotel Sacher for hot chocolate and alike. It was a day off work, but I was on the go from 7.20am to 1.30am the next day. Crazy. So yesterday I slept, and slept and slept and started my Christmas sewing. Slowly. No baking yet. Damn. ;(

It has red pompons along its sides. So much work sewing those onto the pillow. But it looks christmassy. We are going to my cousins a bit later to have Christmas Dinner early. My uncle is leaving for Thailand this week for 6 months. Since years he is spending his winter there.

I started The Cloud Atlas by David Michell this week. Hard to get into it. But as it has almost 700 pages, I really hope it will get better.

Emma is whining. Better go for a walk with her now. Have a good one!
