November was a good reading month for me. But thats easy when you have good books in your T(o) B(e) R(ead) pile! I didnt quite read all of the books that I had planned, but some of them, at least.
The first book that I read in November was The Joshua Profil by Sebastian Fitzek. He is one of my alltime favourite authors and I am always really looking forward to books coming out that he wrote, I read them all so far. He always writes standalone thrillers, his first few were AMAZING, his later ones, not so good. Though people beg to differ me on this. This new book I didnt like. For the longest time I didnt know what it was about and then it was just totally crazy. About software spying on people and because of all the info that this software gathers it can calculate patterns of peoples behaviours and foresee what someone is about to do. We start this book with people wanting to take someones adoptive daughter away, because “they know” that the adoptive father will abuse her in the future. I thought the book didnt come together at all at any point. 3 stars because I like the author so much. But UGH!
In October I started with book 3 of the Divergent series: Die Bestimmung – Letzte Entscheidung by Veronica Roth. I read about half and then put it away because the plottwist, the one that made the complete story to nothing else but a Big Brother series, pissed me off so much, that I had to take a break. I picked it up again in November and finished it. And I really liked the ending so much, that I ended up giving the book 5 stars. I really liked how the author had the main characters grow throughout the book, each one in a different direction, each with their own strength and weaknesses. But something that struck me deep into the chorse of my heart was how “Five” dealed with his grieve. He was about to erase all of his memories to make the grieving stop, when he decided differently. Goosbumps!!! Totally emotional scene for me. I love when literature does this, for that scene alone the complete series deserves 5 stars. So good!
After Divergent I needed something totally different, so I decided to read Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. She just published a new book – the sequel to Fangirl – and everyone is really liking it, so I had to read Fangirl first. It was nice. I didnt love it, but it was nice to read. It is about a girl who writes Fanfic, very successfully with lots of readers. This fanfic that she writes is now the book that was just published, as just mentioned earlier. I like how Rainbow Rowell ceates her characters, all very different, but still deep and unique, but the story itself is just a bit too blah for me. I still gave it 4 stars out of 5 because of the characters, but it would really deserve only 3. The plot is so stretched that it is enough to say Cath is going to College and struggles. Writing fanfic keep her “alive” basically.
Afterwards, I finally started with The Lunar Chronicles: Cinder by Marissa Meyer. Oh my God SO GOOD SO GOOD SO GOOD! Go an read it now, it is AMAZING! The series is a total of 4 books. Each miming its own fairy tale, retold. Cinder is miming Cinderella, in it is very own and unique way. I think it is done brilliantly! Its about an adoptive girl who works as a mechanic. She happens to be so good, that the prince himself is coming to her to ask for help with his android. Yes, it is dystopian. He finds Cinder so charming, that he invites her to the ball. Thats the very basic plot that you will recognize. Cinder is a Cyborg though, and not only that, she is so much more and the whole book is totally crazy! I sucked it up I enjoyed it so much! 4 stars.
Because I liked Cinder so much, I had to start immediatly with book 2, the follow up: Scarlet. The book starts out with following a new ex-fairy tale character: red riding hood. Her grandma disappears and Scarlet takes off to look for her. At about 3/4 through the book, the Scarlet storyline starts to intervene with the Cinder storyline more and more. I didnt like the plotline with Scarlet all too much, but I heard this book is the weakest in the series. But I still love the whole story so much! i think you should all totally read it. So worth it!
I did really well for November, I read a lot! I still have 8 books to read in December to finish my reading challenge for 2015 though. Its going to be a very busy month for me, I can already tell! :O Happy reading everyone, enjoy the magical world of books, theres nothing better! Oh! I just noticed that of the 5 books that I read in November, I read 4 in English. I rock! ![]()

Happy first Advent!
So much to do with the season.
