Harry Potter 5

If you are bored, make a bunny. 😀

I finished Harry Potter 5 this morning, aehm at 4.00 am. Dont read on if you havent read it yet please.

So what did you think of the 5th Harry Potter book?

I really really really liked the first 500 pages. They were an excellent read. When you thought we were nearing Vs return, she came up with another plot. I really liked the idea of these Occl. lessons. I could have read more about them. 😀

I was really disappointed with the ending though. I didnt quite understand why she came up with the giant thing at all. Nor about the trip Hagrid made to try to befriend them, nor what role his brother played. I thought that was a really unnecessary plot. That was one of the most boring chapters in the book, too after my opinion.

Sirius death, hmmm, well ok. If it had to be like that… I would have reather have Luna die. 😉

The end came too fast. There was too much information on to few pages. Way too aprupt, before you knew it, the book was over. Thats the thing I am most disappointed over. Lets resolve as much as possible, in as little time as possible. And not everything was resolved either.

What is your opinion on that? What did you like / did not like?

I don’t know, but somehow I think she shouldn’t have killed off Sirius 🙁 But I suppose she must have had a good reason for it. Sometime authors just kill off characters because they’re getting in the way. But I agree, Luna probably would have been a better choice…better yet, Lucius Malfoy. A good guy died in the last book.

I agree with what you said about the ending of the book. I thought it came down way too fast. And I didn’t know how it all ended with an explanation from Dumbledore, instead of letting the explanations unfold itself in the action. Hopefully the next one will be better. *sigh*

Actually, Luna is going to play a huge role in the next 2 books I guarantee you.
