Why that cheap? Something´s wrong?

I have been browsing a bit on the Moveable Type Forum because of Phlick, and found a thread on Webhost Recommendations.

Really, how are prices like that possible? I thought that Hostradius had already insane (cheap!) prices. How can anyone offer this, and not go bankrupt? A lot of people recommend that Host, too. Actually, I should get a free account for “plugging” like that. 😛

Anyway, the prices are so cheap, that I am very suspicious. Something is fishy! Maybe they turn all the servers off during daytime. hehe

Peophin changed into purple today. Better than orange.

   hi connie, fyi i am at http://www.tabulas.com/~becka/ now… i am moving my server for bowmanz.com someday and it’s going down in 17 days but deleted all the material anyways, so tabulas journal is where i will be for now, yes prices are high i paid $17.95/month for my site, it really depends on the server type, mb size, etc, geocities is basic add free for 8.95/month, is cheap even a word anymore, LOL

   of course they can offer that much cos not every customer uses that much space. It’s really suspicious. Based on what I read in webhosting forums, these hosting companies cannot really be trusted in the long run. Better to see them after a year in operation.
