I really don´t understand what the catholic chruch understands under fasting on some catholic holidays like Ash Wednesday. My Mom works in a church since decades now, and knows what is allowed and what not. Eating meat is disallowed. However eating fish and intestines from all animals is allowed. WHAT? Has a fish not been alive before someone killed it? And what is with intestines? It doesn´t make sense. Or maybe I don´t think right, what´s the sense? Enlight me please.
