As the year is running out, lots of people reflect back on the last year reminiscing… I wont. What is that book called? Dont Look Back In Anger. I am looking in the future.
Not good to look back on nothing anyway.
On the Humane Mousetrap. Remember when the dog wrecked it? Well we fixed it, and my Dad put it out in the garage (we have lots of mice). We forgot about it. A couple of days ago my Dad comes in saying that there is a mouse in the mousetrap, I thought HOORAY!, until he said that it is dead, starved to death because we never checked. So much for humane mousetraps. 😳
We brought back my broken boombox christmas present yesterday and got a new one. Yay!
I thought long and hard if I should blog something about the flood catastrophy.
When I tell people that I believe in destiny and that things will happen as they must, they look at me weird.
I try to think what I would feel if I would have died there, my parents, relatives, friends. Our international soccer stadium in Vienna can hold 48.000 people. 100.000 are more than twice as much.
I see the pictures on TV of people having nothing, of people burning their families, burring their children. At the same time I see people storming the malls here.
I think of the people that survived, whose life will be forever affected and changed. We are sad lets say for a week, until we forget it all. Lucky? Egoistic? Healthy?
We turn the tv off, and continue our normal life. What can we do anyway, other than give money to various organisations helping out there. Is that really enough for people to kill their bad conscience because they are not affected in any way and could care less?
I wish I had some form of wealth and finished education so that I could fly over and help.
