When the news hit Austria, all austrian tv stations broke off their program for a minute of silence. Churchbells all over started to ring, Austria is to 75% roman catholic.
How weird it must have felt to still be alive but to know that everything is taken down already so my funeral can take place.
I hope he now finds what he so strongly believed in.
I will post my personal opinion to the last sentence at a more appropriate time.

Lots of people here are mourning although we are not an especially religious country anymore. I was listening to the radio when the news came through, and it was sad as even though I have never believed, he seemed an inspiration to so many. Apparently, his funeral had been planned for years!

I cannot even express what I feel..Crying does not help anymore..Poland lost its dearest Father..we loved him so much is a great loss to the world…

I didn’t agree with his conservative views, but he also did many good things. I hope he has now found rest and peace.. he must’ve suffered a lot in the past few years 🙁

I really felt very sad. I can remember when he was younger in 1978 I was a lil child but I can remember that day very clearly and I remember how happy everybody was that day. I think that´s the way I like to remember him. I use to think about really happy momments when I´m sad.
