Lovely Cyber World

How shortlived “friendships” on the internet are. I can only wonder. Maybe there are just so many cool people to choose from, that when you are getting a bit too boring or too depressing, there are SO MANY people who can easily replace you. Welcome to the wolderful world called internet. I will never get used to it.

In any case, I got sooo much wool today. Lots and lots and lots. Not very spectacular wool, but good enough for a Ravenclaw Raglan and a possible new cardigan.

I called the post office today, and I only have to work one week at the end of February. Very good, as I get to watch all of the Olympics! Ice skating, and skiing… ➡ Complete heaven.

I solved the biggest hurdle in the new layout (css columns, eww), and it is a matter of days from now on. Unless, I go knitting crazy, then it could be weeks… or months. 😀 What do you think is a must to have in a sidebar? Also, is anyone still using 800×600?

So hard to get a good pet at the lab. Lucky for once! I will keep it for a while. My very own Faerie Bori Angel.

No real news on the shell bot front, but I gather, and so I was told, that I am dependent on the security measures my host is taking. But, the server cant be too secure when some kiddies manage to plant bots. I hope this can be resolved.

   I got it at a sale from an online craft store, really the only austrian one you can buy wool from. But ebay sellers are better, more expensive too though. That store only has really basic wool, solid colours I mean.

   I’m looking forward to the Olympics too…winter ones are my favorite. Ice Skating, Luge, Bobsled, Skiing — all the things I can’t do!!

   Oh, das Bori ist ja süss!

   Ich glaube, es ist nicht nur das Internet, sondern die Zeit allgemein, die alles so schnelllebig macht, wobei ich ja auch so ein Ding bin, dass von da nach dort fliegt und immer wieder Freunde findet. Sowohl im Netz als auch im RL. Ich habe nur eine Freundin aus Schultagen und wir sehen uns vielleicht 1x im Jahr per Zufall. Sie hat Familie, 2 Kinder – und ich habe genug mit mir selber und dem Auf die Reihe-Kriegen von meinem Leben zu tun.

   Ich hoffe sehr, deine Seite wird nicht mehr gehackt. Die Antwort von WordPress fand ich ja etwas merkwürdig, allerdings habe ich auch nicht alles verstanden resp. bin nur drüber geflogen.

   🙁 The internet is a strange place. But we’re still friends, and you’ve been hosting me for a long time. I really appreciate that. 🙂 We have a week off when the winter Olympics start – I’ll be glued my TV. Don’t think Britain will do too well though *laughs*

   I am still your friend, yes your right about those that fall to the wayside, I have learned to make contact with those I really like in the real world too somehow. Keeps the friendship real. I hate when my fav website buddies go bye bye and you can’t find them again. =( Bummer.
