44 minutes to the first competition of the Winter Olympics in Turin! The opening ceremony was brilliant yesterday, the moving ski jumper, Luciano Pavarottis short concert, the Imagine performance, an excellent opening compared to the last Winter Olympics, which was dreadful!

Oh, and the Knitting Olympics have started! I am in of course.
We are drowning in snow. The snow we got over Christmas never melted, and all the new one on top of it, its insane. We havent had such masses in decades. Work was mad! My trolly got stuck over and over again, and no matter what I did, it just didnt move. Hopefully next week will be a bit more snow less.
I have my knitting ready to go! I better get seated, and get ready for our first medal. 😆 Achieved!

Nice start, but now I want to see GOLD please.

Oooh, I don’t think the first event is on our TV channel, we don’t get any coverage until the afternoon. I watched the opening ceremony, which was amazing! Hahah, it said on the news that Britain’s target was 1 medal! We have a bit of a disadvantage not having any snow here. Perhaps you should give your extra snow to us!

Yeah, wasn’t that moving skier something?!!! I was really impressed by the lighting of the cauldron/fireworks too! What plannning!
Coverage here is on about a 9 hour delay so I hear all the scores on the radio or online before I see the events on TV – kinda stinks not to be able to watch it live. But watch I will!
We have a blizzard on the way so I’ll be stuck inside glued to the Olympics! Enjoy your weekend Connie!
