God Be With Us
POSTED in: Daily Life

Edit at 11.46pm: after many hours from hell, the ER Doctor in charge just called, to tell us, we can calm down now, go to sleep, and visit him tomorrow. He is doing a lot better, just his fever remains for now. Please keep praying for us.

If you pray, please please pray. My Dad was just picked up by an Ambulance.

And here is the story:

Talk about my gut feeling! I woke up today, hearing my Dad cough badly. I got up, made him tea and stayed up with him. He kept telling me, that he wanted to go to the hospital. I woke up my brother, and we decided against it. He was doing really well the last few days. When my brother got up, I told him that I feel extremly overloaded today, and that there is not a lot more that I can take. He said he feels the same way.

During the day, my Dad improved somewhat. His coughing and sneezing stopped, but he started to run a fever. He ate and drank, but you could hear rattling whenever he took a breath. He was extremly agitated and confused. (same symptoms my Mom had!) My brother decided to go to the fitnessstudio around 5.30pm. 15 minutes after he left, it went downhill with my Dad. Rapidly. It was pure hell. I begged my Dad to please not die, it was an insane situation. Undescribable. He got worse and worse. 90 minutes later, my brother returned, that second I had picked up the phone to call an ambulance. We tried getting my Dad into the car, no chance. He couldnt move anymore. We did end up calling the ambulance, and it felt they needed forever to get here. There were really nice for a change, we have always had very bad luck with them. They were not too concerned, but they did not seem like they knew a lot. My brother drove with them, I stayed home.

In the ER, the doctor did tell my brother, that my Dad does not have a lot left to fight, given his state of health and medical history, and that everything he gets, is pretty dangerous. And that still stands. This information will need some digesting. They kept my Dad in the ER, and sent my brother home, promising to call when they knew more.
