Despite all efforts, this Christmas hasnt been good. I took steroids that I wasnt allowed to take, I took so many allergy pills that I slept through the 25th and on the 26th the saga continued. So on the 27th I went to my dermatology outpatient appointment and telling the doctor that we have to do something, ANYTHING! We agreed that it would be a good idea to stay inpatient for a while. To intensify everything that I was doing at home. I have to say that I was quite relieved.

All of the nursing staff are really nice as always. They all know me quite well, they even know my friends well. 😳 I was afraid that I would be treated a bit “different” because of my multiple complaints to the patient advocacy, but only the doctors seem to know, and even those are treating me OK, some better than others. Only the doctor in chief was shocked when he saw me. But he kept his composure well. It is really nice when the doctors all know what a massive atopic eczema I have, because they all have seen me over the last years dozens of time, then being treated all new at a different hospital, where I have to tell every single one absolutely everything.
I like how they decorated every single ward. Christmassy!

It is also necessary to fix my sleeping. I take so much and I still cant sleep, because of the skin, mostly. Even the doctors say that they wouldnt rise again would they swallow what I am swallowing. And that with my age. 😎 1 Halcion, for falling asleep, 1 Dominal Forte, for staying asleep, 1 Atarax and 1 Xusual, sedating allergy pills, 2 Baldriantabletten and Passedan Tropfen, to help me quiten down…

Messed up! It is planned that I see a psychiatrist to adjust my sleeping meds. Hopefully!
Today is the last day of the year, I am home for the day. We are going to have Fondue, always the highlight at the end of the year. I dont think that all of my life I had anything else on the 31st of December. I have to go back to the hospital in the evening, but I am quite happy. Because my skin still needs care and because 2 of my favourite caregivers are on nightshift today. One calls me Connie Maus. 😳
This year needs to go. It has brought me endless pain and countless tears. I lived through so much, but I never suffered as much as this year. Goodbye 2012, you have been rotten.
Happy New Year Everyone! Make it the best year ever!
