I did it. I am out of the concert for good. He said he really regrets me doing this, but he can understand and that he knows that these situations are not what I like. He also said that it is a pity for the two great pieces, that he felt that the audience would have liked them a lot, and that I am his best student and shouldnt have worried so much.
I have played at so many and inumerable concerts, I just dont want to anymore. My bad conscience is killing me of course.
I am out of this one, but what is with the next?

this is my guitar shortly before going into my lesson and pulling out of the concert for good

You remind me of the Native American lesson of *The Crow*…*Be willing to walk your talk & speak your truth.* You can’t live your teacher’s regrets or the audience’s enjoyment. Only your *personal integrity* can guide you!

Maybe next time it would be best to just do 1 piece and see if you can conquor your stage fright/nerves. Otherwise it’ll be like a vicious cycle, you get asked to do a concert, say yes, get nervous, pull out, feel guilty. But, I am glad that you are relieved and happier now you have pulled out.

If you only like playing for yourself and lessons and concerts stress you out, why don’t you just stop taking lessons? You can still play at home and just teach yourself.
