Since You Have Been Gone
POSTED in: Ramblings, Turtelina

Had to leave Uni early today, because I kept falling asleep. And not the falling asleep where your head drops, but rather that falling asleep where your eyelids just stay shut. Highly annoying, but what do you expect, I am up since 3.30 am, stupid work, just not worth it, I want my damn degree!

My Buttony Sweater is progressing nicely. I did go for a more pricy wool, but it still looks really cheap. I am so disappointed. I am going to finish it up, since I am already so far into it, and then knit it again with the nice Debbie Bliss Cashmerino wool that I am expecting. I am never going to buy wool for big projects here ever again. I am also going to reknit Angelica with yummy Noro Cash Iroha, since I knitted that one with cheap wool too. And after seeing this Lady Eleanor, I really want one like it, too!

Its my Moms birthday today. 😥 I always loved hers more than mine, because she was so incredibly easy to make happy! And I so much loved spoiling her. So very hard to comprehend that I can never spoil her again. My heart is so broken. Maybe good that I had to work today, kept my head buzy for a while, until I got home, and found a “Happy Birthday” letter from a store she used to shop at. Which would again fall under the category just deal with it.

I hate it when your eyes just won’t stay open. Go and try and sleep well hun. You must knit really fast now.

*hugs* I can’t empathise having not been in the situation, but it must be hard.

I sent you an email the other day

    xx

*hugs* I light a candle for my mother on her birthday now every year…I promised myself that I will never forget. I doubt if you will ever forget your mom’s day either but that’s a good thing to be remembered I think (even though it hurts beyond words.)

There are no words to make your pain go away, but I am thinking of you thinking of her! Lighting a candle sounds like a wonderful way to honour her memory by, would doing something fun, something that she also liked (like knitting, eating at a favourite restaurant, watching a season of her favourite show, reading a favourite book) make you feel better too? *HUG*

Something completely, completely different (sorry), have you ordered with http://www.bastelundhobbykiste.de before? I guess even in the Netherlands the prices are a little bit steeper than in the German language countries where many wonderful sock yarns originate from. Austermann Step and some Opal yarns are many Euros cheaper than elsewhere. Just sayin’ 🙂 Will you be at the One Off Wednesday from Poshyarn tomorrow? I will not be participating but she said she’s fixed the website and it should work now!

Have a wonderful autumn day, Connie!

Oh god… I love Debbie Bliss Cashmerino… I’m knitting a hat out of it and so soft!
