Our little trip to Munich was really excellent! There is nothing like getting out of the usual, even if its only for a couple of hours.

This was also the first time I took use of my severely handicapped status. 50% less! Very worth it. Elisabeth was so good! As expected. I still know all the lyrics by heart. 😛 Of course we missed our train, we left Munich shortly before midnight. That was insane, but an adventure I guess. Nothing about 22 hour days. 😮
I am having so much fun with my Kindle! I never thought that I would love my electronic book that much. But it is so brilliant! Especially with my always fatty lotion fingers. Nothing to wreck and nothing to be careful about! Loooove it! Plus I am reading so many books that I would never have considered in real. ❗ I can recommend it very much, get one, too!

And then, what was probably the negative highlight of the week, after a quite disastrous exam at Uni, was an appointment my dermatologist made for me. As I am practically medically untreatable, she said I really have to go see her friend, who is a psychotherapist. Didnt want to go at all, but ended up going nevertheless. Never miss a chance to get better, right? She told me that my soul is quite obviously screaming in full force to be heard, but that I am not ready yet to “talk about things” (for a lack of a word). We left it at that. Fine with me though. 🙂
My skin is ridiculously bad again lately, getting worse and worse, despite Remicade and oral steroids. 😯 So we agreed that I am going to spend a couple of days on the ward again. Because quite frankly, of all the important things I should be doing these days, like Uni Uni Uni, I do nothing but scratch and all the other fun things that come along “with it”. Maybe I will blog from there if I find the nerve for it! Otherwise…
… till next time. Have a very good week and take care of yourselves, always and all ways!

I’m so glad you enjoyed yourself! I’ve been seeing a therapist, too actually. It’s really hard to talk about things sometimes, but afterwards I usually feel better. She gives me techniques to deal with negative feelings, too. I hope you give it a try when you’re ready. Good luck if you go back in the unit ➡

@Erin: I definitely think that therapy is a very good thing! Your soul can make you so very sick! I hope you can continue to profit from it Erin! ➡ Want to blog about the techniques you are learning or is that too private?
And thank you. As always. 🙂

I keep debating whether or not to get a Kindle…I am now leaning towards getting one…as long as I can still hold a real book in my hands now & then!
So sorry about your skin…but glad you had fun in Munich. I have not heard of *Elisabeth*…I wonder will it ever play in the US???? I’m intrigued!

@Lucy: who knows? Today I’ve read there’s a version of Elisabeth running on stages in Korea! Fully localised of course, korean actors and whatnot, pretty funky if you asked me! Then again, aren’t the asian folk slightly obsessed with monarch houses due to their history of having (had) monarchs/emperors rule their countries? *shrug* I kinda feel that, if it’s that way for them, it could be that “we can relate“ feeling for the Elisabeth piece being popular(?) outside of german speaking lands. Serious question: is there something along the lines of a Washington, Gettysburg etc. kind of theatrical piece in the US? Anything related to one of the more prominent times of the USA?
@Connie: For one: *hugs* and then… Heh, the Kindle lubbin’ of that magnitude I would never have dreamed of when I first mentioned ebooks to you 😉 I thought the thing may grow on you eventually but I figured you’d be too much of a “real“ bookworm revelling in the look and feel of books to consider ebooks/ereaders more than a convenience. Awesome that the Kindle seems to be making your reading experience even more complete 😀 More power to you!

@Pete: Pete…in terms of our relatively short history there was the B’way musical *1776*…about the signing of the Declaration of Independence…won a Tony Award…but I couldn’t even make it through 5 minutes of the movie (ho-hum! too dry) More recently there was the flop *Assassins* about the plot to kill Lincoln & other presidents (it won 5 Tonys…but never really caught on.)
I think if the music is good in *Elisabeth* we would love it here…the more dramatic & visual the better!!! If not on B’way then at the Metropolitan Opera House. I’m gonna have to try to listen to the music online!
