Sweating Like A Pig – week 3

The monster heat continues. Awful as you cant do anything without almost dying the heat-death. 😈 So most of the time, I opted for the option to stay inside to read and sew. Through a recommendation, I have come across the Escape From Furnace series. A young adult book, but so good. Recommended. It starts a bit slow, but picks up speed pretty fast and you wont be able to pot it down. Loooove. ➡

And as already said, I have been sewing like crazy! Got my new fabrics, but as I have the habbit to buy the cheapest of the cheap, I am not too happy with them. Need to change my strategy here. First of, let me welcome you to my little Nähwerkstatt:

Where I made all of this: pouches big and small, tab cozies, pillows, notebook covers….

Not done of course, the madness will continue. Need to sew birthday presents and and and… 😀

With all that baking that I have done, we have to do at least a bit of excersize! Inline skating, I am finally improving, after like 300 km! and we climbed “our” mountain again. At noon, with 34 degrees Celsius. Not recommended. But I sat in the hospital forever, they couldnt decide who would have to see me, so I had to wait for ages. Rediculous, really. Absolutely rediculous. Climbing the mountain is always nice though, we were pretty much the only people up there, I dont think I have ever seen an emptier mountain ever.

Came down from the mountain, and spotted oh so much blood in my panties. Yikes! They did say that I should head into the hospital right away if the bleeding gets more, but I googled, and apparently bleeding in the first 2-3 months after IUD insertion is normal. Bleeding didnt stop yet, 2 days later. Will watch it and decide spontaneous if I should get it checked. But I am not really in the mood to go to the obgyn yet again. No no.

I also had to deliver Newspapers yesterday. During my vacation. 😮 Switched it from non-vacation time to vacation time because of a planned meet up, but fiddlesticks. ❗ Saw that they switched my postal car to a much bigger one. I died 10 times. Had a nervous breakdown and contacted my group leader right away, on a Saturday, at 6.00 am. They are insane. I will not ride that car if I can help it. Wish I hadnt seen that. 💡

Afterwards, we went shopping. Lots of frames and notebooks. I had a bunch of photos delivered for the photo wall and notebooks because I want to sew cozies for them. They make a brilliant gift if I need one quick. Also bought myself a new pillow for allergics. I will sew a cover for it in a bit. And of course, I couldnt just bypass this:

A turtle. Not the prettiest one I might add, but its a rough and hard one and makes a perfect pillow. Plus it was reduced. 🙂 Who cares that we dont have any more place left for turtles… 😉

In the evening we were invited over to our cousins for a late barbecue. It was brilliant, I baked a Blueberry Chocolate Cake for dessert:

After this, I have to participate in next years Tour de France, the mountain lap. 😉

Also this week I have learned the hard way, that when you give someone the power to hurt you, they use it. Even the people from whom you least aspect it. Which makes me think if this is one of the most basic instincts in all of humanity… just like murder and what do I know… only most people have the “Über Ich” as Freud calls it, to realize, its oh so wrong. But some dont, and I am so unlucky to have come across this certain species twice in my life. The doctor in the hospital last year and now the same thing all over again. Hello trauma, not that I have come over you yet, but you are back: WELCOME! 🙁 We discussed this on Facebook, too, and as someone said: “assholes, who leave your life without any explanation and dont have the guts (or xxx in the pants) to tell you why to the face but rather leave you standing in the rain, a sign of immatureness and frigidity”, absolutely everyone agreed on this one. Beware of those people is all I can say. Never give anyone the power to hurt you. And as I really think: I have suffered more than enough in this lifetime, because of this, this should have not happened to me, especially not from someone I so deeply trusted. 😕

Thank you Kala, again, for this, so true:

My last week of vacation is starting tomorrow. 🙁 Need to get myself together again, and make the absolute most of it and take extra special care of my soul. Take care of yourselves dear ones , always keep your guards up and make sure you never give anyone the power to hurt you! Be stronger than I am. Lots of love.

@Lucy: 🙂 I like to buy sandwiches in the bakery. I could make them myself, but they taste so much better when someone else makes them. 😀 I think this one was ham and eggs.
