Bacteria, Such An Unpleasant Thing

Today I met up with the doctor in chief again to discuss my skin. They were very ok this time but agreed that I should stay on the ward for a few days to get antibiotics-iv-treatment, because my skin is still so infected. Even though I just took antibiotics orally. Iv-ones will work better, so he said. Everything that will improve my skin, is a winner. 🙂 And because I am not going to be here on the weekend to post my weekly blog post, I am posting early. 🙂

We had such nice autumn weather on the weekend. I love autumn. 😀 I am looking forward to many more autumns that I dont have to stay inside to work on my first academic title.

I FINALLY finished Kafkas Castle. A challenging read, but worth it. Now on to the real work. 30+ pages. I will manage! What else. ❗ Failing is not an option.

Emma is doing her best to catch my attention while I should really work on the paper! Silly girl, she has grown into such a cuddler and lap sitter, who would have thought. :

I have absolutely brilliant seminars this semester. Makes going to Uni so much more pleasant. In one course I am going to work on apes in history of literature. How they are portrayed and so on. This is going to be fun. The other seminar is on birds in medieval poems: Parzifal and so on. A challenge but we have the best professor, which makes an absolutely dreaded seminar into a highlight. Good semester and I am very hopeful.

A friend and I always said, that when you manage to roll a Biscuit Roulade you are ready to marry. And tata, I am ready:

With Uni being on again, weeks are flying by. The mood at the post office seems to have improved a bit. I am really enjoying work these days. This is what a positive outlook does for you. 🙂 Will try to keep this up for as long as possible, or until the next depressive episode… 😯 With my refound positivity I reconnected with someone I met at Uni. She had a baby 4 months ago. We talked for a while and she has been really helpful with Uni stuff especially Latin. We will meet up soon. I need more people in my life. 🙂 Makes you feel alive.

Later today I am meeting up with Eva for some hot chocolate. I need a Kafka break. Badly.

I have grown. Happy. Not physically *aehm…* but in other aspects. 😎 Going through the valleys of hell, at some point the only way left, is the way up. At work some people think reading is such a waste of life time. But I always say, I draw from literature for my everyday life.

I will be back. With better skin, hopefully. Lots of love. 😛
