I am really sorry for the lack of updates! I wanted to blog so often and then was withdrawn from the thought again and again and again and doopdeedoo 2 months passed. Which just shows again: a single lifetime is to little: WE NEED MORE TIME!

I left off shortly after Christmas. Which in my memory: did it really happen? If I didnt have the photos as a proof of it, I would be convinced we skipped it! So much work before and then faster than an eyeblink it was over. Same with Sylvester and New Years Day. We spent the last day of the year at my cousin again. I remember being tired as hell (which would sum up the last couple of weeks actually!). I am sure I will write an entry about the last year – which should have long happened as a fact – one of these days. I like to skip back through the years on this blog and see how I have grown inside, stronger rather than weeker, and more comvinced to live than anything else! We do learn every single day and grow. So important to remember! As we strive towards our goal to happiness in this life. Have I found love last year? No, still waiting for it. 🙂

New Years Day was absolutely relaxed. Emma is a proof of it!

We got so much snow , it started snowing after Christmas was done with. I am sure someone up in heaven had great fun holding up the masses of snow right until past Christmas, making sure we got to live through the wettest Christmas with rain, more rain, and even more rain. Delivering mail when its snowing like crazy: FORGET IT! Our postal cars have all-weather-tires, when they cant get grip, as it is with snow, you get stuck. So dont even ask how many of us got stuck on the last day of the last year! I had to be pushed out of streets 2 times! One time with 3 people pushing, it was insane. Not that all that snow isnt nice to look at:



The people in my delivery must be really satisfied with my work, I know they like me a lot, at least most of them and they really appreciate my hard work every single day. I got spoiled crazy this Christmas season! I was so spoiled, like never before! So many present, cards, sweets, money, handshakes and and and: I received something from 142 people, which resulted in about 5 kilos of bodyweight 😉 and 1267.- Euros! Soooo happy, that is the mony I spoil myself with during the year: like my annual card for the swimming pool area! 😀

January started off crazy as I was approaching a presentation at a seminar of the most dreaded professor at the Germanistik institute. I totally threw my nerves away. I must have looked like hell, as tons of people asked me what is going on with me. In the end I had everything prepared, but as i was sure it was not enough for *HIM*, never enough and never good enough, I stayed at home instead of presenting. Not worth my sanity when the preparations are unbearable already!



In January, I also went to my first (and most likely last) FCG meeting. The New Years meeting of the black union. It already started off with people guessing my age MUCH older and it went downhill from there. I am not a groups person and I already talk too “uni-wise” for a meeting full with postal workers. Never would I think I am better than others, but you are singled out if you dont fit in. And I most certainly did not fit in. Not fun and never again. But the backdrop was quite nice in the evening:



What also was a negative highlight was when someone from that union wanted to go to a public reading with me and then called 15 minutes before I was leaving , to tell me she had caught a cold and couldnt go. Which was such an obvious lie that it was too much to take. She was somewhere where she didnt want to leave from, you could hear them laughing in the background. And really: if I would wait to be healthy to go anywhere, I would not even leave my bed. This made me ponder human beings big time. FORGET IT! People are so dishonest without any sense of moral and decency its sad. Am I forever glad my parents raised me well! Not to forget that she made an absolute rude comment on skin deseases and allergies. When I told her so, she said she is taking her illnesses with humour. Well, she doesnt have skin disorders or allergies. And even if she takes her illness with that kind of attitude, she is putting herself down without dimension without even realizing it. ACK, I swear!!!! I did meet up with Eva, it was nice. She talked again pretty much nonestop, but at least she has the moral and decency that others are lacking in incredible amounts.



I am sewing again whenever I find a little time. If you are wondering, yes, we might have had a Harry Potter Septhatlon over Christmas… 😉 I actually had prepared a litte gift for the person I had planned to go to the public reading with, but now I am keeping it. All the things I sew are made with love and take so long, that they are special treats and cant be wasted:




I am still having fun swimming and I really did manage to finish my goal of reading 50 books in the year of 2014, all of the books I read with the rating at the end under the cut.

I read lots of Stefan Zweig during Christmas holidays, as you can tell! I really like his style and all of his books are free for download over at Amazon. 50 is definitely goal that I cant achieve with my schedule, so I am going for less this year:
