Election Day In America

What a day for this world! As amused as I was with Trump in the beginning, a year ago, he got a bit madder by the second since then and who honestly thought he would ever win this election? You just cant be serious. WHAT??? I did really enjoy Hillary Clintons speech: To tell young women to still keep hunting their dreams.

Fighting for what is right, is always worth it.

So emotional, I think that speech was fantasticly written. It brought to the core what this meant to her. I dont like her much more than Trump, but the speech did it for me. I also liked what Obama said:

We brush ourselves off and go back to the arena.

So much to that. If the UK can leave the EU and Trump becomes president, we can be “excited” for what comes next.

My stomach is still really acting up. I hope this gets better, I only have one more day off work to get well. I did take the time I suddenly have on my hands, to work on my respondence, the professor really liked the format and wants everyone to do it as I did it:

The presentation of it didnt go so well. My nerves, as always.

And now back to fighting for my place on the sofa, after you guys are building the wall, and make America great again. Good luck for both.

Congrats on your exceptional formatting skills! Now I just wish your stomach would get better! Sending you healing thoughts. (I had an intestinal parasite once that – even when cured, still bothered me for some time.) Hope you’re just having residual effects.

Cold, rainy & positively funereal in NYC today…until tonight when SPONTANEOUS PROTESTS erupted all over the country…against HATE, RACISM & MISOGYNY. May the protests remain peaceful & send the message that not all of America is CRAZY!

@Lucy: Ewww, parasite sounds nasty. http://turtelina.net/dailylife/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/bigeyecry.gif

I really wonder who voted for Trump, all I read is that people are in total shock. Good for the protestors, if it would help, too. Terrible that people nowadays have to scared to live in a country just because they are different. Now if that would be Iran and alike, but the US! Be well Lucy! http://turtelina.net/dailylife/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/hug.gif

@Connie: That nearly half the country didn’t vote at all is the worst. The people that did vote for him were poor, uneducated & rural WHITE people.

We have a history of protest & it’s in our Constitution that we can protest (though he will try to change that & we CAN’T let that happen!!!!!) Stay tuned. It’s gonna be a bumpy 4 years!

In the meantime…good luck getting back to work! Emma will keep the sofa warm!

@Lucy: Trump alone cant make any desicions though, can he? Doesnt he need – what it is called in the US? – here it would be the approval of parlament – for any decisions, let alone changing the constitution! That would be madness. I heard that on Anderson Cooper, that actually Hillary didnt lose the election, but rather she couldnt mobilize (word?) her supporters to go and vote as Trump was able to! That is a shame!!!!! Interesting, very interesting it is. Did you see the photo that is going around Twitter today, the one where Obama and Trump shake hands at the white house? haha Faces tell more than a billion words.

I am sure Emma had a lovely day! http://turtelina.net/dailylife/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/doublegag.gif

@Connie: Unfortunately “checks & balances” are skewed at the moment in his favor. Congress & the Senate have Republican majorities & the Supreme Court is missing one Justice – which he will elect (a very CONSERVATIVE & BACKWARD THINKING PERSON is predicted) & his shills in Congress will approve……Unless there are “moderate” & sane Republicans who are willing to block him. Scary times. Our system is a perfect storm in his favor!

There will be midterm elections in 2 years…when about 30 Senate Seats & all of Congress becomes available….so we Dems have to get ourselves in gear & ELECT a majority then.

Yes! The Obama/🚽💩 meeting pics said it all! Oh, yeah & Hilliary is still leading in the popular vote but that won’t change the outcome.

Hey Emma ! You have the right idea! Chill!
