Incredible how little time I have these days. I leave the house around 4.45 am and not seldomly I am not coming home before 6.00 pm. I am not getting anything done. But I am not complaining. I am glad I can work and Uni is important! No pain no gain. At some point I will have my degrees and then it was all worth it!
For now, we have postponed my guitar concert. Like my teacher said, we can always do it next year. I just dont have the necessary time to practice like I am supposed too, a real bummer.
The dermatologist appointment was a total disappointment. He was in an awful mood and the promised miracle lotion that is supposed to prevent the eczema from coming back again (not that its gone), is nothing new. He must think I am brain dead to not remember what we have tried already. Oh well, he is sending me to radiation treatments twice a week now. At least I will have a nice tan all winter.
In pathology last week we did an postmortem examination. I thought it was incredibly sad. The guy was only 35. I couldnt help but wonder what he would have thought about being stared at by a group of girls, he was butt naked on the table. Fresh out of the fridge. Sad sad sad and I am still thinking about how fragile a human life is.
Friday was rent day. One lady got compensation money for being imprisoned during World War 2. 22 Euros, what a joke!
I detest All Saints weekend. So glad it is over again. I will probably fail all the projects I joined this year. I will try again next year.
There is probably a whole bunch still to tell, but I have all November to tell it all. Have a great week everyone!

Oh gosh Connie, you must be exhausted. Don’t push yourself too hard.
How many degrees will you get?
Postmortem examination sounds quite sad…35 is so young!
I am going to write to you this week. Salzburg and our daily texts seems too long ago. xx

Wow! Connie. More power to you, as they say. I can’t even imagine that postmortem. I always like the Medical Examiners on shows like CSI Miami & NCIS who are so respectful of the bodies…& the spirits of those who used to inhabit them. Makes you think for sure.

Hey Lucy,
The doctor who is doing our lecture (she is quite famous, she even went to Asia to help with the Tsunami victims) always stresses how important it is to be respectful of the bodies. It is someones friend, dad, mom and so on… And she thinks those shows are awfully bad done. 😉 Not even close to reality. Its my favourite lecture this semester, even though it always makes me think and ponder life! And I am quite sure now, that I want to be burned. 😉
Hello Nicki,
I still cant believe that you were even here! So unreal! I will have 2 degrees when I am done. Dont hold your breath though, you will be done long before me. 🙂

Hello Connie.
Me neither…I can imagine it so well. Ha, I don’t know. Technically I get my degree in 2010. 🙂

I am glad to know she stresses the humanity of the process when training others. I hope real examiners are like her!
