Well, today was my birthday and as expected, I dont feel smarter or different, just a bit older. The biggest gift to myself was not having to work! I loved getting all the birthday messages across various social networks, that made the day extra special.

I always start the day off in the same way. I make myself a huge cup of black tea with milk and play Township or The Smurfs. Some people meditate, I do that. Since years. Every day. It settles me before I head off into whatever the day will bring. And so it happened today.

Then we had an excellent breakfast, nothing too special, but it was still brilliant and we were full the rest of the day. We had fruit salat (as a starter)! Afterwards, I finished my birthday cake. An After Eight Cake and it is a lot of creme with a little bit of cake. It should be the other way around of course, but my baking skill… YIKES! It tastes good though.



Then we headed off to go Christmas Decoration shopping, we didnt get that much and it cost a little fortune. No kidding!

We were exhausted afterwards. But of course there was still swimming on the program! Nothing better than swim training on my birthday! I loved it. We were not many people because the weather was extremly nice, over 20°C! I got to swim an own program. Like 12×100 IM and so on. I had a good swimming day too, brilliantly, really.

Later, we had cake. I got a brilliant gift from a friend, loooove it!

Later again, I read until bedtime. I think it was a good day. Since I try to make every day special it didnt stick out too much to the other days, but it had the birthday feel, which either made it a bit depressing, sad or good. Cant decide. And now off into another year, full with dramas, adventures and so much else that I dont even want to know yet.
