Second Advent Of 2014

I had an absolutely lovely birthday weekend! Fabulous weather! Which is an absolute rarity the last few weeks. Brother and I did everything we do every year: going Christmasdecoration shopping, we went to a fabulous Asian Barbecue for lunch, lots of cake, movies, swimmingit was lovely. On my birthday, I also went to the opening of our Christkindlmarkt, to get our Adventkranz:

I also got lovely presents, I dont get presents since my parents passed away – only if I buy them myself – but this year I got lovely things! A work collegue even made some people at work sign a birthday card and delivered it to me, that was really nice!

Someone from my delivery area even surprised me with a birthday cake (on the left)! My cake didnt turn out quite as good (on the right)…

We are making progress with renovating our living space. Very slow progress, but progress at least. Emma is enjoying it lots, can you tell?

Last weekend I started sewing Christmas Pillows and we went to buy our Christmas Tree early! I am hoping for a Christmas without stress this year… but whom am I kidding?!

In the meantime problems with this one work collegue continue. Her hatred and anger towards me made me burst into tears one day. Chefs arent too helpful. At Uni I had a presentation on The Bibel in the letters betweens Stefan Zweig and Josef Roth. It was a brilliant topic. Both of them were jewish authors who to had to flee out of Austria when the Nazis went for power in the 1930s. Their exchange of letters are almost a must to read! This is what friendship really is and means. Probably my favourite topic that I have to work on at Uni ever!

This weekend was the annual Postal Christmas Party. I hadnt planned to go, but was convinced in the last minute. It was much better than the last few years, probably because hardly anyone went. Once again, I played gravestone for collegues. This absolutely has to stop! I hate being gravestone so much! And I just cant stop it. Wherever I meet up with people, they keep talking at me nonestop for hours. And as already said, people only share the bad, never the good. Ewww.

It was also Nikolaus day, and my cousin brought my brother and me a Nikolas Bag full with nuts and sweets. Enormously sweet! I cant remember when I last got a Nikolaus bag, ages and ages ago!

Today is a holiday and I am off work. I will make another pillow, and start on Christmas Cookies. Two doughs are already prepared. And I really want to go swimming.

Enjoy the season! We are only on this earth for such a short time, you might as well make the best of it. 😀 Lots of love and hugs! (as always)
