Vacation 2015: Week 2

Because of my first week of vacation being spent in the hospital, I did not quite follow the doctors advice to rest. I had so much catching up to do! The weather was really nice as well, so staying home and doing nothing was no option. Going on more sick leave not really either, because I already have too much of it this year with Reha.

First day home I just had to go to the pool area. Indoor pool is closed for renovation, so without too much thinking we went to the outdoor pool and I loved it so much!!! So much fun. We went there a couple of times since then, love getting a bit of colour while swimming.

I also had a good late evening walk with Emma and a good cup of green tea in my new turtle teacup. Good life is all I can say, after those 9 days…

Emma loved having me home again, lots of cuddling ever since.

On Wednesday, after another huge argument with my brother and a good morning swim, I took off to Hellbrunn with Emma for a nice walk. It was AMAZING! Enjoyed it a lot. I so much love Salzburg, most beautiful place ever. 😀

  • Walk in Hellbrunn with Emma.
  • Park in Hellbrunn.
  • Different view.
  • Going upwards.
  • It was a very sunny day.
  • Emma was absolutely exhausted!
  • Emma is being "blessed". 🙂
  • View from above.
  • Here we are going.
  • A view from abovedown to the Karpfenteich.
  • Zoomed.
  • View in another direction.
  • The Lakes again.
  • Untersberg.
  • Stony theater.
  • More shots coming up.
  • Steintheater
  • Steintheater
  • Steintheater
  • Steintheater
  • Down again.
  • Walking back to the car.
  • Emmachen.
  • In the park.
  • Emma was so hot!
  • Poor Emma.
  • Lake view.
  • Another view.
  • Love that view.
  • Karpfenteich
  • Karpfenteich
  • Karpfenteich
  • Karpfenteich
  • Way out.
  • A dog statue at the entrance.
  • Emma was curious...

On Thursday, after a good breakfast, brother and I decided to try swimming in open water: Fuschlsee. I now know that open water swimming is not made for me. You can barely see under water, its so muddy, I got panicky and short of breath. A nice change of scenery, but I am much happier at the pool. It was beautiful though!

  • Driving to the Fuschlsea for open watr swimming.
  • On our way.
  • Here we are.
  • Almost relaxing.
  • The water was so cold and muddy though.
  • But the nature is beautiful.
  • Feet.
  • Ducks all around.
  • Different view.

In the meantime I took a much needed break from the Gabaldon book… yikes yikes yikes! And look who got a home with us:

Friday, I went swimming again, but apart from that, a rather quiet day.

  • The outdoor pool area. 🙂
  • A post war present.
  • About to start blooming.
  • The other one.
  • Eating first gingerbread of the season.
  • My lit bookshelf.
  • Different view. Love it!

My weekend was quite relaxed. Saturday, as I decided to rest with the Gabaldon book, I finished Alice, a creepy follow-up of Alice In Wonderland and it was awful! One killing after the other, lots of my beloved characters were totally evil-ized and killed. Not nice! Emma was cuddly as hell and the sunflower started to bloom. How much I love sunflowers!

  • Evening reading: Alice. Rotten read.
  • Emma loves you. 😉
  • Cuddly Emma

Sunday, I was tired of this semi-resting. So I took off to another 25km bikeride to my favourite reading spot. Having finished Alice the day before, I was so eager to start with Sherlockian, which is OH SO GOOD! Go and read it, NOW! My trip was amazing, loved it so much!

  • Sunflowers are the most beautiful thing!
  • So pretty.
  • The other one not quite open.
  • At Puch Urstein reading.
  • It was an amazingly beautiful day.
  • The view is killer.
  • Zoomed.
  • The bridge.
  • My reading bench.
  • My trusted bike.
  • Bike with background.
  • Reading "Sherlockian".
  • Different view.
  • On the way home.
  • This view is the most beautiful of them all!
  • Bridges view.
  • On my way home.

As always you can look at all of the photos on my FlickR Stream.

All in all my second week of vacation was quite good. Time is flying like crazy obviously. You work a complete year. which seems like endless a billion of times, and the vacation is over in the blink of an eye, total shame!

Expect one more entry bevore I leave for REHA on Monday and make sure you read the other entries as well that I posted over the last week.

Be well everyone, enjoy every single day!

One can never have too much of sick leave cause this is the time you can do whatever you want or just hang around lazy – I have to say this cause I am so lazy and never driven to do whatever espicially not cause it’s nice wheather – I don’t care about the wheather – I want to do NOTHING all the time.
