Nucala Day number 17

This is the worst case scenario: lots and lots of mail, counting mail week, getting out late to the delivery area and having a big pulmonologist appointement at 11.10 am. Awful! Had to leave in the middle of my working day, being not nearly finished and drive into the city for my appointement. We did PFT´s (a fancy word for checking my lung function) , I got my Nucala shot and then I saw the doctor.

After I had my first block of apharesis for the trial I am in, my skin got so much better and my lung got so much worse. You cant have it all I guess. The result of this decline is 8% less lung function than last time, which also brings me way to close to the pathological limit again, despite getting all these meds that I am getting. CRAZY! The doctor was a bit surprised as well because this IGe apharesis is done to treat Asthma as well. Oh well. We keep doing what we are doing for now. He also said to me that I am a special patient for him. Which is really nice but since this Silvia horror a sentence I cant hear without getting a very bad feeling, ewww. Oh well. I am not there that often and most of the time he is horribly busy anyway, so this cant do much bad, can it?!

The appointement took 3 hours. At around 2.15pm I was able to start delivering the rest of the mail. At 3.15pm a Lady got upset telling me what I am thinking bringing her the mail that late. Since that was in hour 10 after starting my workday, I told her off. At 4.15pm I left the post office to go home after having started at 5.30am. Close to 11 hours, this is absolutely crazy! This whole week is absolutely crazy!

Didnt do much for the rest of the day other than eat. 🙂 I am a very hungry girl. Oh, I almost forgot! You have to tell them your weight before doing the PFTs and when I told the nurse my weight she looked at me and said: “are your sure its that much, I think its much less”. Ohhhhhhh, the sick mind in my crazy head was bouncing around! 😀 Apparently washing ones blood is a real burden for your metabolism, which would explain why I am that hungry!

So much for that and with that I leave you for today. Sleep well you all and lots of love!
